2A.P. HORTICULTURE- SALIENT FEATURES
- A.P. Government has declared HOTICULTURE as
thrust area. - Horticulture area in the state has increased from
3.70 lakh ha.during 1981-82 to
15.79 lakh ha. during 2004-05 and
the sector benefits about 8 Lakh families. - Andhra Pradesh exported Horticulture produce for
more than Rs.800 Crores during 2004-05. - Horticulture sector contributes 3.7 to GSDP.

- Ranks 2nd in production under total fruits. (
77.35 lakh m.tonnes) - Ranks 1st in production under total spices. (

- Adilabad,Karimnagar,Warangal.
