  • Manufacturers are moving facilities from U.S. to
    foreign countries due to labor costs.
  • Loss in quality is expected.
  • Newer Customized market is a reaction to the
    mass production market moving overseas in an

  • Mass production does not provide all snowboarders
    with the optimal snowboard.
  • Snowboarding has finally evolved into a technical

Objectives
  • Develop a design process to produce an optimal
    snowboard to meet unique customer specifications.
  • Provide the avid snowboarder with a product that
    optimizes his/her riding experience.

Deliverables
  • Produce two snowboards.
  • One designed for Ryan Miller
  • The other designed for the owner of Cool Runnings
  • A detailed evaluation of the snowboard by each
    rider will be performed to ensure the design
    process is effective.

Formulation for Success
  • We believe with our engineering knowledge and
    practical snowboarding experience we will develop
    a superior design process for manufacturing
    custom snowboards.
  • Our engineering skills will combine mechanical
    and materials theory with industry standards to
    provide an improved design process to the market.
