Introduction

• Direng Investment Holdings (Pty) Limited (Direng)
  is a BEE investment company which is 90
  black-owned and managed and led by Kenny Setzin.
• The birth of Direng was inspired by the urgent
  need to attract new players in the BEE arena with
  the requisite corporate experience and commercial
  skills.
• Direngs strategy is to ensure that black
  economic advancement and entrepreneurship is
  realised through sustainable business
  partnerships and initiatives.
• Direngs strategic intent is to attract high
  profile black business people who will strengthen
  the value proposition of the company and assume
  operational responsibilities in the targeted
  investments.
• As a former Executive Director of Nail, Kenny has
  extensive commercial and leadership qualities.
  He was intimately involved in the management of
  NAILs extensive investment portfolio in the
  media, telecommunications, information
  technology, car rental and financial services
  industries

• Raymond Kevan
• Raymond Kevan was the Financial Director of
  NAIL..
• He has considerable deal structuring (mergers and
  acquisitions) and financial expertise and was
  intimately involved in deals which took NAIL from
  a R300m market cap company upon listing to one of
  over R10bn within 5 years.
• Raymond has close to 20 years of accounting and
  finance experience and he has the following
  qualifications BSc, BCom (Hons), Dip Acc, CA
  (SA).
• Theo Madolo
• Theo is a advertising media planning specialist
  and a Director of FCB, the largest advertising
  agency in the country. He has a wealth of
  experience in the advertising world and serves on
  several industry bodies.
• Theo is a graduate of the AAA School of
  Advertising.

• Kenny Setzin
• Kenny Setzin was an Executive Director of Nail
  and has served on and chaired the Boards of
  several subsidiaries of NAIL. He was intimately
  involved in the highly competitive NAIL disposal
  process designed to extract shareholder value
  locked up in the complex NAIL structure. The
  bidding process culminated in an offer of R1.2
  billion for the company. Over R1.5 billion was
  subsequently distributed to Nail shareholders.
• Kennys other achievements in NAIL include
  heading up Nails restructuring programme which
  sought to unlock shareholder value by
  repositioning Nail as a focused media company
  through a series of complex unbundling
  transactions involving African Merchant Bank,
  African Bank Investments and Metropolitan Life.
• He is currently the Chairman of JWT South Africa,
  Ince (Pty) Ltd and Hifab South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
  Kenny also serves on the board of Nail and
  Siemens SA Limited.
• Prior to joining Nail, Kenny was Executive
  Manager to the Chairman and Chief Executive at
  Telkom South Africa. He has over 15 years of
  managerial experience locally and in the US.
• He pursued his tertiary education in the USA
  obtaining BA and MBA degrees and also has a
  Diploma in Small Business Finance from Taiwan.

• Hazel Ralefeta is an entrepreneur with over
  twenty years business and general management
  experience.
• A former MD of Viamax - logistics and fleet
  management solutions.
• She has occupied various senior executive
  management and board positions in both the
  corporate and public sectors in the areas of
  financial management and supply chain
  (logistics).
• Victor Sekese
• Victor is the CEO of SizweNtsaluba vsp Inc, the
  largest national black accounting firm in the
  country and he has considerable auditing and
  consulting experience across different
  industries.
• Victor is currently Chairman of the Black Firms
  Forum, an organisation formed to promote the
  interest of black firms and President of ABASA,
  Association for the Advancement of Black
  Accountants in SA.
• . He is also Chairman of the Daimler-Chrysler
  BEE Trust.
• Victor has the following qualifications B Com, B
  Acc, CA (SA).

• Felicia Roman
• Felicia is a sought-after radio and management
  consultant.
• She is the former MD of Kfm Radio (Pty) Ltd.
  During her term at Kfm she grew both the revenue
  and audience figures to record levels. She was
  voted one of the 10 most remarkable women in
  media, after only having been in the industry for
  two years.
• Shes a Non-Executive Director of Sunwest
  International.
• Felicia has the following qualifications BA,
  Post-Graduate Diploma in Higher Education.
• Thabo Mosala (Head of Direng Technologies)
• Thabo has extensive IT experience, having been
  instrumental in managing the incorporation of SA
  Express IT division into SAA. He was the previous
  Deputy MD of Standard Bank Lesotho. He also
  occupied the position of Operations Director of
  Dinners Club SA, which included all IT services.
• Thabo has the following qualifications MSc
  (Computer Science, MBL and Mphil)

• Mike is head of Johncoms Magazine Division.
• Mike is the former MD of New Africa Publications
  which owned the Sowetan and Sunday World
  newspapers as well as Leadership magazine.
• He is a journalist by profession, whose career
  has spun over 20 years in different capacities,
  including being an Editor. Mike is a Board
  Member of the Magazine Publishers Association of
  SA.
• Mikes qualifications are as follows B Soc Sc,
  Diploma Finance, MBA.

• Maserame Mouyeme
• Maserame is the former Group MD of FCB, the
  largest advertising agency in the country. She
  recently assumed the role of Marketing Director
  of Coca Cola East Africa, a region covering over
  20 countries.
• She is a 2005 Business Woman of the Year
  finalist.
• Maserame is Chairman of the Association of
  Communication and Advertising (ACA) and a
  Non-Executive Director of Sphere Holdings, a
  private equity company. She also serves on
  several industry bodies.
• A chartered marketer, she also holds the
  following qualifications B Soc Sc, Post-Graduate
  Diploma (HR), MBA.

• Kenny Setzin is the CEO and is responsible for
  the day-to-day management of the company,
  including identifying investment opportunities,
  deal structuring and post investment
  value-enhancement.
• As Direng acquires an asset base, appropriate
  professional staff will be recruited based on the
  companys operational needs. One of Direngs
  strategic objectives is to deploy key personnel
  in its portfolio companies, where appropriate, to
  ensure that its investment returns are realised.

• The partnership between SIHOLD and Kenny Setzin
  was launched with its first transaction, a 25.1
  broad based BEE transaction with Ince. It is a
  leading corporate communications solutions
  provider with a pedigree of over 85 years.
• Kenny Setzin led a BEE Consortium that secured
  30 of JWT SA, a global advertising agency with a
  strong multinational and local client base,
  ranging from Ford Motor Company to ABSA.
• Direng recently secured a 30 stake in IOCORE
  Global Resourcing SA, a company involved in the
  recruitment of IT personnel.
