Application Training WoundStat Hemostatic Agent

• This set of slides will demonstrate the proper
  application of WoundStat

Step 1 Apply a tourniquet if possible

Step 2 Tear open WoundStat pouch at perforation

Step 3 Empty contents of pouch directly into
wound
4
Step 4 Firmly pack WoundStat into all areas of
the wound

Step 5 Hold pressure for up to three (3) minutes

Step 6 If seepage occurs, perform additional
packing of WoundStat
7
Step 7 Wrap and tie bandage to maintain
pressure during patient transport

Step 8 If bleeding continues, remove bandage
and apply a second application of WoundStat DO
NOT REMOVE PREVIOUS APPLICATION!

Step 9 Seek medical care as soon as possible
and show empty pack to medical personnel
