their (news) broadcasts. Podcasts serve as a
collection of material for subject-specific
teaching. -

Examples of audio and video podcasts
GHS Hardenbergschule, Velbert November 2007 we
installed www.hardenberg.podspot.de and published
the first self-made subject-specific audio and
video podcasts. They relate to the subjects
German, Englisch, Biology, Geography and
Physics. Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasium,
Leverkusen The podcast site www.biology-is-fun.pod
spot.de resulted from the cooperation with WHG
2007. The videop odcasts were developed and
created during exame revision as well as in
normal lessons.
The video podcasts are available in
mp4-format. VLC-player is suitable for
viewing. Audiofiles are streamed in the
Flash-plugin in your browser. There is a
feedback option for each episode.
In all podcast productions special emphasis was
placed on the students' spoken language
skills, which means that each productions was
recorded at one go.
