14Mordecai tells Esther to go to the King and plead
for her people, the Jews.
15Esther calls for her people to fast and to pray.
16Meanwhile, Esther invited the King and Haman to
several banquets before confiding with the King.

a bed-time reading, and heard about Mordecai
warning of the assassination plot.
19At that time, Haman entered and requested that
Mordecai be killed, but the King interupted and
suggested Mordecai be rewarded with a parade

threatened. When the King discovered Haman was
responsible, he ordered him hanged.
