Reproduction of Body Cells

• Just as your parents reproduced you and your
  siblings, the cells within your body do the same
  thing.
• Cell reproduction occurs when parent cells
  divide.
• Two new daughter cells arise from each parent
  cell.
• Results in Growth and Eventually
• You will need new cells to repair damaged tissue
• These cells can replace cells that are lost from
  outer surfaces
• These cells can help resist disease
