Riser Conversion

Description One of the most popular designs for
multi-deck display cabinets is to have a low
front to give maximum display area. But this can
increase the duty of the cabinet and the cold
aisle syndrome effect within the store. The
rising energy prices mean that the extra display
area is coming at a cost. A front riser or
glazed thermopane can be retrofitted on site
providing energy savings and less cold air
spilling into the aisles.

CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
The Bond Group has recently invested in CFD
software giving us the advantage of being able to
optimize cabinet design before testing. The
benefits to Bonds product development work as a
result of implementing a CFD solution include

• The ability to investigate display cabinet
  performance before physical prototyping and
  testing
• The potential to fully understand the air flow
  and heat distribution within a cabinet, guiding
  design changes in a scientific manner

  standards, whilst reducing its overall power
  consumption
• Using the CFD results to quickly identify those
  designs that are not worthy of physical
  prototyping and testing
