What is a State Activity Code?

An eight character code of which the first four
digits are a number designed to standardize all
staff personnel activities from PreKindergarten
through District Office The 5th and 6th digits
are for District use The 7th and 8th digits the

  • Middle schools are still using Grade 8, High
    School Credit course codes for high school
    credit courses instead of using the course codes
    for grades 9 -12
  • Schools are changing numbers or letters other
    than the area of the course code that can be
    district defined
  • Use of other Obsolete Course codes

  • Check Course Code Validation report available
    this fall
  • If you do not receive preprinted answer sheets
    for Benchmark assessment or End-of-Course
    testing, you may have a problem with course codes.

How is a section number derived?
