CHASSIS TRENDS

• Stand alone chassis legacy fleets are declining.
• The industry is morphing into Co-Op Pools,
  Managed Neutral Pools, Motor Carrier Billing
  Pools.
• Chassis will move off terminal.
• Steamship Line ownership of chassis will
  decrease.

FUTURE of CHASSIS

• Chassis will not disappear. They are the
  lubricant of the Intermodal Network.
• The payees for chassis usage will shift from the
  Steamship Line to the Motor Carrier to the
  Shipper / Consignee.
• Street turn time will decrease.
• Motor Carrier will tend to hold on to chassis as
  double move capability and live street dispatch
  improves.
• The total amount of chassis needed to handle
  existing and increasing volumes will decrease.

• Trucker can use same Metro Pool chassis to pick
  up / drop a Maersk container and pick up / drop a
  CMA CGM, China Shipping, ACL, Evergreen, Hapag
  Lloyd, MSC or Mitsui OSK container at APMT, PNCT,
  CSX RR or NS RR.

SERVICES

• Trac provides on site personnel at the Metro Pool
  Locations to manage inventory control, MR,
  logistics, PoolStat computer system.
• Trac is an IEP.

MR SERVICES

• Trac is responsible for Normal Wear Repairs.
• On-Terminal / Off-Terminal
• Brake Repairs
• Axle Repairs
• Over-the-Road-Calls User friendly Road Side
  Program.
• Motor Carrier is responsible for damage to
  chassis caused by Motor Carrier.

LOGISTICS

• Trac is responsible to rebalance the different
  locations in the Metro Pool Network.
• Reposition Expense is a Cost Pass thru.
• PoolStat will compute the imbalance that occurs
  when Trac moves bare chassis due to migration.
• PoolStat automatically invoices, proportionately,
  those members who caused the imbalance at the
  deficit location.
• Time Frame is monthly.

POOLSTAT

• All Metro Pool members have access to PoolStat to
  manage their usage.
• PoolStat traces 900,000 chassis in the USA.
• PoolStat is used to manage migration outside the
  Metro Regional Pool Network.
• Members can receive weekly auto reports from
  PoolStat.
• Manage Out over x days, imbalance, usage day
  closed / open billing.

BILLING CYCLE

• Invoice generated monthly and will include all
  closed cycle and any open cycle moves.
• Users can access PoolStat to determine closed
  cycle and view usage day activity in the Moves
  to be Charged report.
