Title: Silence

1
Silence
  • An experience of silence

2
  • Silence is an important tool in spiritual
    practice.
  • Using silence in an intentional way can support
    us in our spiritual journey.

3
  • Many of us seek silence as a reprieve from
    busyness.

4
  • Silence can be comforting and calming.

5
  • Silence can also feel awkward or uncomfortable.

6
silence
  • This experience will invite you to sit quietly
    for five minutes.
  • Before you begin, take a few minutes to review
    your day.
  • By doing so, you allow your mind to slow down
before entering into your intentional experience
    of silence.
  • (This presentation will automatically continue
    after a few minutes.)

7
silence
  • Now that you have taken some time to settle in,
  • Take a few moments to get comfortable.

8
silence
  • Allow yourself to enter into an experience of
    silence.
  • You may simply sit quietly.
  • You might pay attention to your breath coming in
    and going out.
  • You might repeat a sacred word or mantra.
  • This experience of silence will last for five
    minutes.

9
silence
  • A chime will sound when five minutes are passed.
  • Take a few moments to settle in again with your
    surroundings.
  • (This presentation will automatically continue
    after the period of silence.)

10
silence
  • We encourage you to use silence in varied ways to
    support your journey.
  • Find some quiet time on your own
  • Share silence with others
