- Formed from British Rail Intercity Fleet
Engineering in 1994 with originally around 100
employees. - Grown to 550 employees worldwide across UK,
Germany, Scandinavia, Australasia, USA and
Canada. - Software Solutions team comprises 20 developers,
system analysts, project managers and clyx.net
helpdesk staff (including Certified Developers
Chartered Engineers). - We provide online software via www.clyx.net

- Rail Notices the software product being
developed. - clyx.net our extranet service that will host
Rail Notices. - Account credentials your login details for
clyx.net / Rail Notices. - Template a business process being implemented
by Rail Notices. - Notice information to be shared with others.
- Private Notice only visible to named
recipients! - Sponsoring Company the organisation sponsoring
the Template. - Common Interface a gateway that brings together
all Templates. - Wizard a defined sequence of stages with QA
relating to a Template helping to guide you to
create a Notice. - NCP Nominated Competent Person a person
authorised to create a Notice. - Validate authorisation of a Notice prior to
distribution by a defined user. - Acknowledge confirmation that the Notice has
been received.

Notice by a Nominated Competent Person (NCP)
Optional Phase Validation by a 3rd party e.g. the
National Operations Centre (NOC) for NIR3350s.
Mandatory Phase Distribution of the Notice based
on the rules of the template.
Optional Phase Acknowledgement of the Notice.
This is configurable for each template.
Optional Phase Review the Notice and undertake
any required actions.
