  • Create goals as far as what you want to score
  • Take good notes
  • Organize your notes
  • Review the notes
  • Test yourself
  • Find out what the test will cover
  • Study in a place that is free of distractions
  • Study at a time when you are not sleepy or hungry
  • Dont wait until the last minute study every
    night
  • Repetition is the key study on as many
    occasions as possible
  • Create study aids (outlines, note cards, quizzes)
  • Get a good nights sleep

  • Be prepared
  • Arrive early for the test
  • Stay relaxed and comfortable
  • Approach the test with confidence
  • Take your time
  • Read the directions carefully ask the teacher if
    you are unsure about what is asked of you
  • Answer the easiest questions first. Skip the
    most difficult questions and come back to them
    later
  • Try to answer every question, even if you can
    only answer part of a question you may get
    partial credit

  • If you need to guess, try and eliminate the
    choices that you know are not the answer
  • On essay questions, take a moment to plan your
    response. Use a graphic organizer to brainstorm
    and organizer your thoughts
  • Keep it neat your teacher cannot grade what
    he/she cannot read.
  • Review your answers at the end to check for
    mistakes and to verify your answers

    your mistakes
  • Save the test, if possible, to use for review
    later in the year
