- If you dont attend class you are a LOSER!
dont waste anyones time sniveling or whining
because of your stupid choices, you deserve to
fail - Most common problem leading to failure is absence
and/or tardiness - This includes mentally and emotionally as well as
physically

- Need to consider school (this class) your
educational job - Take ownership of your learning
- Those who teach learn twice
- Therefore find the weakest student in class and
mentor them to an A - Everyone wins
- If you dork off on the job your fired
- Here you get a F

- Sit up at the front of a class
- Easier to stay focused on the subject
- Easier to see and hear what is going on
- Easier to ask questions and get results
- Harder to be distracted
- Makes the instructor think you are interested
- Harder for the instructor to ignore questions or
student - Harder to snooze through class

- Pre-read
- Text example
- 30 or 45 minutes?
- Programming the subconscious mind
- How to develop long term memory the easy way
unless of course you are in to self-flogging (in
which case you need to drop this class and see a
shrink you need a life!)

- Ask Questions Take notes
- Proven method to
- increase your retention,
- lessen the amount of time required to study
- learn something isnt that a novel thought
- Spend more time doing something else
- Did I forget? It improves your grades
- Redo your notes within 2-6 hours
11How to succeed in class 6
- Read all the material for that section/chapter as
soon as possible after the initial
lecture/explanation - Go over the handouts and do the labs
- Repeat the labs until you are comfortable with
your ability to do the stuff - Gut check No one cares about what you perceive
your ability is. Its all in your level of
performance when required so dont set your
comfort level too low or unrealistically high!

- Plan your fight and fight your plan!
- Schedule your study plan and follow it
- You need about an hour of outside of class study
time for every hour you are in that class - Some may need more, some less
- Check with the instructor for each class
13How to succeed in class 8
- Change gears frequently to prevent mental wheel
spinning - Quantitative classes (like all of your CNS
classes) should be allotted 30 minute time
intervals - Classes such as literature, English, Humanities,
Psych etc can be covered in 45 minute stretches. - 5to 10 Min stretch break after every two (max
three) study cycles

- Decide what goal you have in each class write
it down - Make your Goals S.M.A.R.R.T.
- Specific and Measurable
- Attainable and Realistic (Is it real for me?)
- Reach beyond myself so they force me to grow!
- Tangible or not ( How will I know if I succeed?)
- Be brutally honest with yourself
- If you lie to yourself, youll lie to others
- These have to be your internalized goals

- Track your progress toward YOUR goals
- Put together a chart to track your progress in
each class on a weekly basis - Update the chart at the start of each week and
then adjust your schedule as needed to meet your
goals for each class - Adjust your Weekly Schedule to win!

- You are what you THINK
- What are you feeding your mind?
- Where (or from whom) do you get your vision of
your future from? - Who do you spend your time with? (Law of
Association) - What activities do you use to change your life
circumstances? - What are my habits activities that are holding
me back from my personal success?

- Prioritization
- What are your personal high pay-off activities
(these allow me to achieve my goals) - Put First Things . Well FIRST!
