What is Native Aspirations?
- A national project to address youth violence,
bullying, and suicide prevention through
evidence-based interventions and community
efforts. - Working with nine American Indian and Alaskan
Native (AI/AN) communities. - SAMHSA contracted with Kauffman Associates,
Inc. (KAI) to implement this national project.

woman-owned, and American Indian-owned business
enterprise under contract with SAMHSA to
implement Native Aspirations. - KAI has a 16-year track record of providing

- Quantitative Analysis of national data sets to
select the three highest risk IHS regional
service delivery areas. - Regional Stakeholder Nominations were conducted
to determine the three communities most in need
of project services in each IHS Area.
