BACKGROUND - QS 9000
  • First time published in 1994
  • Established by big three i.e. Ford, Chrysler and
    General Motors
  • ISO 90011994 is the basic standard
  • Specific requirements of automotive industries
    are added.

IMPLEMENTATION OF QS-9000
  • It is the requirement of 3 Big and Truck
    manufacturers that suppliers must establish,
    document, implement effectively a Quality
    Management System based upon the requirements of
    QS-9000.

SCOPE ISO/TS 169492002
  • This Standard specify the requirements Of QMS
    where an Organization
  • Need to demonstrate its ability to consistently
    provide product that meets customers and
    applicable regulatory requirements
  • Aim to enhance customer satisfaction via
    Continual Improvement
  • Applicable to all sites where customers parts are
    manufactured
  • Supporting function such as design offices,
    distribution centers are part of the Site Audit.

METHODOLOGY OF GAP ANALYSIS
  • Visit of the factory / production facilities by
    CSR Consultants.
  • Comparing production activities with laid down
    procedures (if any) and minimum acceptable
    standards.

VENDORS RESPONSIBILITY VIZ A VIZ GAP ANALYSIS
  • Agree with CSR on a particular date and time for
    facilitating consultants visit.
  • To make available the organization of the company
    as well manual / written procedures (if
    available).
  • Open discussion in respect of quality issues
    being faced by the company and customers
    complaints.

  • The Project Cost essentially depends upon
    following
