Activating the Fire Alarm System

• We have two types of pull-down stations. The
  south end of the building is different.
• Original building push in and pull down
• South end/6th grade push in and pull down
• Take Pictures.
• We have two control panels Doors 6 and 14

Fire Alarm System Failure

• Administration addresses the building via the
  intercom system
• Attention, staff, students, and guests. Please
  listen carefully to this announcement.
  Currently, our fire alarm system is not
  functioning correctly. At this time, we will
  evacuate the building due to a fire. Staff,
  please initiate your fire evacuation procedures.
  (Administrator may repeat.) This is the end of
  this announcement.

• See pages 6-7 in the pink section of the Faculty
  Handbook.
• Review with administrator.

Review of Fire Safety Devices/Routes

• See Map for pull stations, portable fire
  extinguishers, and places of refuge.
• Like flying on an airplane, plan for second route
  of evacuation.
• Wests place of refuge is Delaware Trail
  Elementary School (south of BWMS)

• 6th grade wing Alternate exit is Door 23.
• Cafeteria Alternate exit is Door 23.
• 400 PE Area Door 14
• Main Gym Door 14
• Aux. Gym Door 23
