How to set up Alerts with
Canadian Reference Center

EBSCOhost Alerts
With Canadian Reference Center through EBSCO, one
can obtain a personal account to set up Search
Alerts and Journal Alerts. Search Alerts allow
you to save advanced searches as alerts and have
them e-mail you with any new results. You can
also retrieve those alerts to perform the search
immediately, instead of waiting for the alert to
run. Journal Alerts allow you to set up an e-mail
alert to automatically notify you each time a new
issue for a selected journal title is available.

Begin by creating an account or logging in

For a Search Alert Begin by performing a search

Choose Create Alert for this Search

Choose OK to create the Alert. To modify your
alerts, go to Folder

In your folder, under Saved Alerts you can edit
your alert options

Make the appropriate changes to your Saved Search
Alert, including Name Description Database Freque

For a Journal Alert Start by clicking on
Publications

Select the journal you are interested in
