Integrated projects
  • Designed to generate KNOWLEDGE required to
    implement the priority thematic areas

    to applied research in a multidisciplinary nature

Networks of excellence
  • Designed to strengthen the excellence on a
    particular research topic by networking together
    the critical mass of resources and expertise
    needed to provide European leadership and to be a
    world force on that topic
  • Aimed primarily at creating a durable INTEGRATION
    of the research capacities of the network
    participants while advancing the knowledge on the
    topic
  • Up to several tens of millions of Euro
  • Between three to seven years

  • Sharply focused to gain new knowledge either to
    improve considerably existing products and
    services or develop new ones
  • Up to several millions of Euro
  • Between two to three years

Coordination actions
  • Intended to promote and support the networking
    and coordination of research and innovation
    activities aiming to improve integration
  • Less than one million Euros

  • Intended to support the implementation of FP6 and
