- As a future equine practitioner, I find AAEP to
be a core organization for my career. This
organization serves as a link between
practitioners and students, as well as aiding in
practitioner to practitioner communication. I
have years of experience with horses of all
kinds, and am interested in pursuing a career in
equine sports medicine and surgery. I hope to
support and represent the AAEP for years to come
and will strive to create opportunities for
students to gain equine experience and knowledge
as well as create relationships with equine
practitioners in our area.

clubs such as Animal Health Technology/ Pre-Vet

National Honor Society, and others.
421st Year Class Rep. Candidate
- Ericka Dailing
- Rockford, IL
- University of Illinois
I have grown up showing horses of all kinds from
hunters to western pleasure to speed events. As
an undergrad I was actively involved in the
equestrian club and served as president for two
years and historian for one year. I would like to
be the AAEP class rep to be able to meet more
equine people in our class as well as meeting
more equine personnel in the community. I also
enjoy helping to educate others on different
aspects of equine medicine.
431st Year Class Rep. Candidate
Lindsay Reinhart Chicago, IL
I am originally from Chicago and I did my under
grad at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in Terre Haute
IN. I was a pre-professional major and minored
in equine health sciences. I have ridden english
hunt/jump since I was little and even competed
intercollegiately during my undergrad (I rode
advanced walk trot canter on the english team).
I also spent a summer working with the equine
and other large farm animals (cattle, llamas,
sheep, goats, pigs) at the Indianapolis zoo. I
spent the past year shadowing with one mixed
large animal vet and one equine only vet while
working for a small animal emergency and
specialty practice (specialty included surgery,
ophthalmology, radiology, and internist).
