Epoxies

• Epoxies have the property of drying very rapidly
  and also once they are dry they stick to surfaces
  strongly and are very resistant to wear.
• They are also one of the only things that can be
  used to effectively glue plastics together.

Epoxy

• Epoxies are made be combining two chemicals, the
  resin and the hardener.
• When mixed in equal proportions they will begin
  to cure which will form a permanent solid bond.

Epoxy

• Epoxies are made from Epichlorohydrin and
  Bisphenol A.
• Epichlorohydrin is made from propylene and
  Bisphenol A is made from the condensation of
  acetone. Both of these chemicals are organic but
  Bisphenol A is considered harmful to people.

Epoxy

• Epoxy products are considered relatively safe
  causing only a few health risks.
• The only major health risk being dermatitis that
  can be acquired if it comes into contact with the
  skin with both parts mixed in.
