3What is The FAIRTRADE Mark? It is an independent
consumer label which appears on products as an
independent guarantee that disadvantaged
producers in the developing world are getting a
better deal.
4What is a Fairtrade Town? It is a town that
achieves 5 Goals, and can show progress each
year. a town can be a village town
city borough county!

5The 5 Goals Goal 1 Town Council to pass
resolution to support, and make available
Fairtrade tea and coffee at work. Goal 2 Form
a steering group to promote principles and
products and monitor progress. Goal 3 Provide
evidence of required number of Fairtrade
retailers and catering outlets Goal 4 To find
out how many businesses make Fairtrade tea and
coffee available for staff use. Goal 5 To
attract media attention and publicity.
