How does God develop hope in our lives?

• Through problems.

For I know the plans I have for you, says the
Lord. They are plans for good and not for
disaster, to give you a future and a

Those who hope in me will not be

Hope happens even when it hurts. We do not
want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the
hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We
were under great pressure, far beyond our ability
to endure, so that we despaired even of life.
Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of
death. But this happened that we might not rely
on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He
has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and
he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope
that he will continue to deliver

God is our hope. This letter is from Paul,

command of God our Savior and by Christ Jesus

Hope keeps our eyes on God and keeps us moving
toward the finish line of our lives.
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead,
even though the going is rough for a while down

• By strengthening our faith

What is faith? It is the confident assurance
that what we hope for is going to happen. It
is evidence of things we cannot yet see. Heb.

He will perform.

on him. I have put my hope in his

have hope?

• We can live with new strength

but those who hope in the Lord will renew
their strength. Is. 4031

What are some benefits to our lives when we
have hope?

• We can have the power to say no to temptations.

Everyone who has this hope in Christ keeps
himself pure just as Christ is pure.

Where does this hope come from? It comes from the
Holy Spirit.
So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will
keep you happy and full of peace as you believe
in him. May you overflow with hope through the
power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 1513

What is the basis of our hope?
Trusting in the truth found in the Bible
Such things were written in the Scriptures long
ago to teach us. They give us hope and
encouragement as we wait patiently for Gods
promises. Romans 154

Why is truth so important? Because our lives are
controlled by whatever we think to be true.

The more I can attach my life to truth, the more
real joy begins to happen. Thats why truth is
