Budget Profile Overview
  • What has happened since last review
  • The Bare-Bones profile from last summer
  • The construction project stretch-out

Guidance Adjusted Profile (GAP)
  • Assuming the guidance from last month 1500 K
less from DOE FY04, nominal guidance numbers from
    NSF.
  • Distribute shortfall from POS 50-50 between MO
    and Computing
  • Distribute resulting computing shortfall
    pro-rated between Facilities and Software
  • Rationalize a bit re-distribute between
Fac./SW so we are not hiring one year, then
    firing.
  • Result GAP on next slide

  • Funds Core SW effort some university support
including badly needed presence (3 FTE) at CERN
  • Viable Facilities profile
  • Guidance Adjusted Profile
  • Serious shortfall in facilities
  • Lose some University based sw FTEs
  • If FY04 guidance numbers are wrong
  • 25 less than guidance ? Profile of Death (POD)
  • Will show in breakout session
