2The mission of the University of Louisville
Center for Geographic Information Systems is to
provide instruction, applications, and research
in geographic information systems technology.
The resources of the Center for GIS are
available to professional staff, students, and
faculty to provide service and products to
individuals and agencies of the University, and
the local and state community.

- Complimentary ESRI User Conference registrations
- Total annual cost 125,000 (approx.)
- Each university price based on number of FTEs.

- Users on campus share the cost
- ULCGIS provides tech support
- Major users are Civil Engineering, Urban
Studies - Institute, Medical School, Biology, Geography

Masters Degree in Applied Geography
The Master of Science in Applied Geography is a
36-hour program with a required thesis. It
includes 15 hours of foundation courses, 15
hours of electives, and a six-hour thesis.
Eighteen hours of coursework will be at the 600
level.
