2- MAP tests provide highly accurate results that
can be used to - Identify the skills and concepts individual
students have learned. - Diagnose instructional needs.
- Monitor academic growth over time.
- Make data-driven decisions at the classroom,
school, and district levels. - Place new students into appropriate instructional
- programs.
3Got Scores? Now What?
- Horizontal Grouping ( by grade according to
R.I.T.) works best when theyre several classes
per grade levels. Its often easier to group like
grade levels and R.I.T scores together. - Vertical Grouping Students are grouped
- (by R.I.T.) regardless of grade level.

9Independent Students (221)
Independent Students work on the same math
strands as everyone else. They utilize The
Compass Learning program Odyssey. Weekly
reports are given to principal, re-teaching
occurs as necessary. If students complete a
module with less that 80 accuracy, re-teaching
occurs. There are times when students may need
for join flex groups for a short amount of
time to acquire needed skills.

11Preparation for Flex Lessons
- All teachers are given lesson plans and pacing
guides that outline what lessons are to be taught
and when the lessons are to be taught. - Every teachers will cover the same strand during
a given week. Lessons will - vary based upon RIT Scores.
