What MediaVR is...

• Preliminary studies of possible use of synthetic
  multiuser environments in learning and/or
  academic, collaborative work
• A search for what might be useful areas for this
  type of technology in academic use

• Inspired by Patagonia and my own studies of
  computer mediated interaction.
• Frustration caused by the slow moving academic
  body and the way-to-fast moving learning.com
  business
• A hpoe that network media might be useful in some
  way

What MeddaVR is not

• A game
• A replacement for existing (more or less)
  successful web-based technologies for learning
  and collaboration.
• A 3D version of the Department of Media Studies.
