LO To understand the settlement hierarchy

• I have lots of services that most people need
  to live (shops, banks, police station, secondary
  schools), but people will go to a city to get
  more specialised things.
• I am a collection of a few houses. I dont
  really have any services (maybe just a post box
  and a pub) so people who live here have to travel
  to get the things they need.
• I have all services people need including
  theatres, universities and specialised shops. I
  am a hub for transport (I have coach and train
  stations and sometimes have an airport nearby)
• I could have a shop, local primary school,
  small post office and a pub, but people who live
  here have to go to a town for banks, secondary
  schools and bigger shops.
