Molecules

• A bonded collection of two or more atoms of the
  same or different elements.

Compound

• A substance with constant composition that can be
  broken down into elements by chemical processes.

Properties of Compounds

• The relative proportions of the elements in a
  compound are fixed.
• The components of a compound do not retain their
  individual properties.
• It takes large inputs of energy to separate the
  components of a compound.
