OUR MISSIONTo provide career services to both
students and alumni, and to facilitate the
process of connecting God-given passion to skills
and abilities through Charleston Southern
University majors. We endeavor to increase job
placement opportunities for students by
partnering with businesses, churches, and the
Charleston Southern University community. To
assist students who qualify for work-study in
finding jobs that will allow them to earn money
to help cover the cost of their education, and to
help students develop job skills for future
employment.
3
FEDERAL WORK-STUDY FWS vs. Institutional
Work-Study IWS
  • FWS Money comes from the Federal Government
and is awarded by Financial Aid
    (863-7050)
  • IWS Money comes from a CSU Departments budget
  • Students with an FWS award will have more
    work-study positions to choose from
  • We strongly recommend that FWS earnings are
applied to student accounts through Tuition
Deduction, as earning wages for your education
is the purpose of the Federal Work-Study program

current period (month).

your remaining hour balance up-to-date. You
cannot enter hours for future days.

Pay close attention to the A.M.s and P.M.s in
the drop-down boxes. This is a
common error, and will
require adjustment by you or your supervisor,
it may
cause a delay in the processing of your payroll.
20
Anatomy of an Electronic Timesheet
Select the Add button on the left to open up
another row of entries each day. Use this if you
work in the morning, have class, and then return
to work in the afternoon.
21
Anatomy of an Electronic Timesheet
Once you have entered your time accurately for
the current day, save your changes,
then sign out.
On the very last day of the month
you must sign your timesheet.
22
Anatomy of an Electronic Timesheet
Once your timesheet is successfully signed, it
will automatically be submitted to your
supervisor for review and approval. You must see
the message in red above once your timesheet is
signed.
