EO-1 Launch Vehicle InterfaceIssues -Tip Off
Rates
  • Baselined maximum tip-off of 3 degrees per second
  • Initially achieved 3 deg/s by reducing separation
    spring rates
  • Addition of Hyperion drives stowed C.G. further
in the spacecraft -y direction, which is the
    major contribution to tip-off rates
  • Preliminary Separation analysis indicate a
    nominal tip-off rate of approximately 4 deg/s,
    3s rate of 5 deg/s.
  • Corrective action to be taken
  • Verify Solar Array Deployable at 5 deg/s
  • Verify detumble capability of ACS with initial
    rate of 5 deg/s
