• According to the agreement between EFC and King
  Gustav V 90th Anniversary foundation my
  fellowship program in the host country of Sweden
  will continue from the 20th of August till the
  10th of September.

Swedish Non-governmental organizations

• Work on issues concerning non-governmental
  organizations can be divided into four spheres of
  activity
• general conditions for popular movements and
  associations
• general matters concerning grants to popular
  movements and non-profit organizations
• the Governmental and government agencies
  dialogue with this sector
• statistics, research and surveys on associations
  and popular movements and their activities

Social economy

• A concept that is sometimes mentioned in
  connection with non-governmental organizations is
  social economy. Social economy refers to
  activities
• that are undertaken with the aim of yielding
  concrete benefits to members or other groups
• that do not belong to the public sector
• where private profit making interests are
  subordinate

• The organization seeks to contribute to the
  development of a sustainable Europe through
  encouraging voluntary non-profit activities for
  young people mainly by support through Swedish
  sports and youth associations to leadership
  training within international youth projects.
• The main tasks of the fellow are varied and
  many-sided programs with a particular topic for
  leadership training integrated in most important
  projects.
• Major projects with a focus on the training of
  young leaders are under way in regions including
  the Balkans and the Baltic states.

My schedule

• I will visit schools and education centers of
  different levels.
• I will be able to compare them with the Bulgarian
  youths centers and schools where it often happens
  that youngsters are not informed about the
  various European opportunities

For the future

• We will continue the co-operation between the
  Regional center for European Development and King
  Gustaf V 90th Anniversary foundation Sweden.
• We want to create an environment where young
  people can express themselves creatively and meet
  other young people from different cultures,
  backgrounds, opinions. It also has to point out
  the difference between Bulgaria and Sweden
  concerning the social and cultural life. This
  will probably lead to a better understanding at
  an European level...
