Our vision of the project of creation EUROREGIONS

• The objective of the project providing of
  stable and balanced development of the frontier
  territories of Estonia, Latvia and Russia (the
  Pskov region) through integration of efforts and
  coordination of activities of regional
  governments, local autonomous bodies.
• Legal basis Madrid convention for trans-boarder
  cooperation, Legislations of Estonian Republic,
  Estonian Republic and the Russian Federation.
• The major issue, which unites the adjacent
  territories in EUROREGION the necessity of
  providing employment and living on the territory.
  During the last 10 years the population,
  constantly living in the above-mentioned areas,
  decreased in 1,5-2 times. The basic cause
  breaking off traditional economic relationships.
  
• Selection criterion of work directions for
  EUROREGIONs structures
• - providing population, residing in the
  territories, with business activity and
  employment
• ensuring a constant living on the territory
• joining up efforts and cooperation
• trans-border nature of problems and projects.

We work together
In 2001 foreign trade turnover of the Pskov
region With Estonia 51 558,2 ths. On the
territory of the Pskov region have been
registered 92 enterprises with Estonian
capital, Including 8 enterprises, registered in
2001. With Latvia 48 124,4 ths. On the
territory of the Pskov region have been
registered 165 enterprises with Latvian
capital, Including 22 enterprises, registered in
2001.

side counties of Tartu, Vyru, Pylva, Yegavsky,
Ida-vyrumasky and the South-Estonian Regional
Development Agency from the Russian side Pskov
city, the Pskov, Gdov, Pechory areas and the
Agency of Regional Development of the Pskov
region
EUROREGION Latvia Pskov region Uniting on
the basis of the agreement from the Latvian side
districts Aluksne, Balvi, Ludza, Rezekne, Valka
and the Regional Development Agency of Latgalia
and/or Vidzeme from the Russian side Pskov
city, the Pskov, Gdov, Pechory areas and the
Agency of Regional Development of the Pskov
