• He was born in 1750 in Georgia also called as a
  Georgian.

Why is he important in the Revolutionary War

• He was a soldier that worked for William
  Moultrie.

Why he became famous

• He became a sergeant quickly because he walked
  across a Fort Moultrie to get our flag in the
  face of British gunfire.

What he got for being brave

• For being so brave he got John Rutledge's dress
  sword who was one of the signer or the
  Declaration of Independence.

When and how he died

• He died in 1779 at the war of Savannah while
  planting the colors of the second South Carolina
  regiment flag.
