  • Cap Maximum number of students allowed to
    enroll in each course (based on room size)
  • EnrBeg Number of students enrolled at the
    beginning of each course
  • EnrFinal Number of students enrolled in the
    course, as of the last day
  • EnrMax - Number of students registered at any
    time, less those who dropped before section start

  • Definition of terms for longitudinal data

  • CenTotal - Number of students enrolled on the
    census date. Census date is 20 of the term
  • of Fill - CenTotal divided by the Cap
  • FtesTotal - Full-time Equivalent Students -- One
    FTES represents 525 student contact hours. A
    Full Time Student can be considered one who takes
    15 units per week for two 17.5 week semesters or
    a student who takes 12 units per week for two
    17.5 week semesters and 6 units in the summer
  • WSCH - Weekly Student Contact Hours -- The number
    of weekly contact hours multiplied by the number
    of students

  • Wsch/FacLd - Weekly Student Contact Hours divided
    by the Faculty Load (525 Magical number)
  • Retent - EnrFinal divided by CenTot
  • PassCount - The total number of students who
    received a grade of C or better in a course
  • Pass - PassCount divided by EnrFinal
