Goals of Creating a Student Lounge at Oxy

• To improve the welfare of student life at
  Occidental College and provide students with a
  neutral environment to build community.
• To create a lounge area and a place of gathering
  that is comparable to schools of similar size,
  standards, and goals.

  unprecedented center for student activities

• Move the S.A.C. into Samuelson Pavilion
• Put a pool table in the lounge area
• Provide a venue for students to gather
• Create a central location of information for the
  entire Oxy community

Role of the S.A.C.

• Operate sales from 9am to 12pm
• Oversee the use of the student lounge
• Serve as an information center for visitors
• Maintain calendar and postings for campus events,
  community events, campus news, and more!
• Responsible for student workers working with
  Campus Dining to ensure adequate dining space

  students
