Background
  • Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is a FEMA process
    that allows the modification or revision of
    FEMAs Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs)
  • All LOMR requests must be signed by the
    Communitys Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as
    designated by FEMA.
  • Peter Runyon is Eagle Countys CEO

Project Timeline
  • Contract to Matrix Design Group, Inc. in October
    2008 to complete LOMR
  • Floodplain Information Report and LOMR Request
    received in July 2009
  • Submission to FEMA, anticipate 6-9 month
    timeframe until maps are revised (no later than
    April 30, 2010)
  • FEMA has 60 days for completeness
  • 90 day public review and comment period

  • Original Mapping for Stone Creek performed in
    late 70s/early 80s
  • Accuracy issues with regards to the Eagle-Vail
    Subdivision
  • Areas of Elk Lane, Deer Blvd, and other areas
    shown in regulatory floodplain
  • Regulatory floodplain completely outside of Stone
    Creek Golf Club Creek
