True worship
3
1st Reading
  • The Lord gave the 10 Commandments to Israel to
reveal His loving will for them. These laws will
help them be like Him HOLY. It will also become
the foundation of morals for everyone. Living out
the law is a sign of true worship to God.

2nd Reading
  • A lot of times, we miss the true meaning of our
religion, that is why we always look for signs.
And the only sign given to us is Jesus Christ
crucified on the cross. A sign of total obedience
and love for the will of the Father.

5
Gospel
  • Jesus talks about the destruction and raising of
the Temple in 3 days. This Temple is the
presence of God in our hearts which must remain
always clean and undefiled. Jesus driving away
the sellers in the Temple is only a subtle symbol.

6
Just pause and think about this
  • In speaking to your fathers on the day I brought
them out of the land of Egypt, I gave them no
command concerning holocaust or sacrifice. This
rather is what I commanded them Listen to my
voice then I will be your God and you shall be
my people. Walk in all the ways that I command
you, so that you may prosper.
  • Jeremiah 7 22-23

7
We must honestly admit that we have built our own
temples.
  • Temples to our pride and lust.
  • Temples to our wealth and fame.
  • Temples to our accomplishment and success.
  • Temples to our intelligence and wisdom.

8
  • But God is asking from us only true worship,
which is to follow Gods laws, to be holy and
    just.

9
Mother Teresa of Calcutta is right!
  • "God does not ask us to be successful he only
    asks us to be faithful."
  • That is True Worship!
