in Columbia, South Carolina 1975-1979

20His life changed forever after the birth of his
1st son, Jason Christopher, in 1979, not long
after beginning his call at Our Saviors Lutheran

Camdenton, MO., where he grew his beard!
24He served at Our Saviors Lutheran for 5 years,

25He took a call at Trinity Lutheran Hospital to
become a Staff Chaplain
26He served as Chaplain at Trinity Lutheran
Hospital in Kansas City, MO, for 11 years
27Where he made a tremendous difference in the
lives of many ill and dying patients and their
families, and others that received his counsel,
prayers, and loving care.
28At some time during his Chaplaincy, he met me. In
a little over a year we were married! This is
our wedding day.

34Cut backs in health care lead to the elimination
of one of the staff chaplain positions at Trinity
Lutheran Hospital in 1994.
35We say goodbye to Kansas City!
36And say hello to Pittsburg, Kansas!
37Jim went back into parish ministry by accepting a
call at St John Lutheran Church in Pittsburg, Ks.

39Jim served at St John Lutheran Church for 5 years
where we met many wonderful, kindhearted,
spiritual people that touched our hearts and
lives.
40But in 2000, God called him to Prince of Peace
Lutheran Church
41Where God has worked to accomplish many things.
42Pastor has inspired participation in Adult Sunday
School and Disciple Classes
43Hes helped us become more aware of the poor and
hungry in our world and in our neighborhood.
44And inspired us to become one of the largest
donors to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal
45He presided at the Gathering Place Dedication
46Hes given many childrens sermonswhere you
never know what will happen next!
47Hes officiated at many baptismseven for adults!
48Hes even blessed our pets!
