His life changed forever after the birth of his
1st son, Jason Christopher, in 1979, not long
after beginning his call at Our Saviors Lutheran

become a Staff Chaplain

He served as Chaplain at Trinity Lutheran
Hospital in Kansas City, MO, for 11 years

Where he made a tremendous difference in the
lives of many ill and dying patients and their
families, and others that received his counsel,
prayers, and loving care.

At some time during his Chaplaincy, he met me. In
a little over a year we were married! This is
our wedding day.

Cut backs in health care lead to the elimination
of one of the staff chaplain positions at Trinity
Lutheran Hospital in 1994.

Jim went back into parish ministry by accepting a
call at St John Lutheran Church in Pittsburg, Ks.

where we met many wonderful, kindhearted,
spiritual people that touched our hearts and
lives.

But in 2000, God called him to Prince of Peace
Lutheran Church

School and Disciple Classes

Hes helped us become more aware of the poor and
hungry in our world and in our neighborhood.

And inspired us to become one of the largest
donors to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal
