Fee Schedule Basics

• Fee schedules are used when you want to charge
  fees that are different from your regular office
  fees
• Fee schedules may be set up for the following
  circumstances
• Insurance company contracted fees
• Discounted fees for certain groups of patients

• Fee schedules can be assigned to the following
  areas of EagleSoft
• Patient
• Employer
• Fee schedules linked to the patient override a
  fee schedule linked to the employer and the
  offices standard fee
• Service codes that are not entered in the fee
  schedule will be charged out the offices
  standard fee

• The fee schedule rate will display in all areas
  of the program that define a rate for a service
  such as
• Walkout
• Treatment Plan
• Scheduler
• Chart

Fee Schedule Basics

• You have the ability to bill the offices standard
  fee on the insurance form even if you have a fee
  schedule attached in order for the insurance
  company to recognize your standard rate is higher
  than their fee schedule rate
• You have the ability to display the difference of
  your standard fee and the fee schedule fee on
  your patients account screen which allow your
  patients to recognize that they are receiving a
  discount for your participation in their
  insurance plan
• You also have the ability to show standard fee
  and adjustment on walkout statements and
  treatment plans

• There are reports in EagleSoft that will display
  the difference between your offices standard fee
  and the fee schedule rate that will help your
  office determine if it is beneficial for you to
  participate in that plan
• Managed Care Analysis
• Managed Care Analysis by Insurance Company
• Managed Care Encounter
• Managed Care Encounter by Insurance Company
• Managed Care Utilization
• Managed Care Utilization by Insurance Company
• The by Insurance Company reports only display
  information of the patients that have a fee
  schedule assigned to their employer
• The other reports display information of the
  patients that have a fee schedule assigned to
  either the employer or the patient

• One additional report- the Daily Fee Exception,
  will also display all exceptions, or differences
  in the standard fee for all patients during a
  selected time frame
• This will include charges that are not
  necessarily assigned to a fee schedule, but
  changes in the standard fee at time of walkout
