classification of Chronic Diseases to facilitate
some ease in Homoeopathic Prescribing. Miasms,
from that point of view, are just figments of
imagination they are not real, since they cannot
be demonstrated in a patient Miasms are
inferential they owe their existence to our
acceptance of a theoretical Explanation for a
certain Phenomenon which is observable and hence
real. Symptoms thus are real their Miasmatic
interpretation, just theoretical. And any theory
is useful to the extent it facilitates practice.
