• 13 Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep
  sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the
  grace to be brought to you at the revelation of
  Jesus Christ.
• 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to
  the former lusts which were yours in your
  ignorance,
• 15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy
  yourselves also in all your behavior
• 16 because it is written, "You shall be holy, for
  I am holy. (NAS)

  intended it to be lived.

• Holiness is both outward and inward. It is a
  matter of both action and motivation, conduct and
  character, divine grace and human effort,
  consecration to God and commitment to people,
  self-discipline and self-giving, righteousness
  and love.
• It is a demonstration of faith working by love.
  It is supernatural in the sense of Gods grace
  working within us. It is natural in the sense of
  being our own humanness, lost through sin,
  misconceived through ignorance and through
  listening to current culture - but now in the
  process of restoration through the redirecting
  energy of the Holy Spirit at work within us
  making us new creations in Christ.
