Goals

• Eliminate road crashes in the City caused by
  drivers who have consumed alcohol by (latest)
  2020
• Focus immediate activities on the highest risk
  group, young men between 18 24 years of age
• Increase the pro-active involvement of community
  stakeholders to prevent drink drive crashes in
  Olsztyn

Enforcement

• Establish a dedicated drinking and driving
  enforcement unit, strengthen operational controls
• Enhance cooperation between police, courts,

• Establish information sharing system and process
  among relevant agencies
• Cooperation with media, community actors and
  publicity campaign efforts

Publicity Campaign

• Media and event plan using most appropriate
  methods to reach target group
• Minimum once annually at highest risk time for
  drink drive crashes
• Materials developed by the NRSC and Polish
  Spirits Association as part of the EU CAST
• Campaign developed and financed by City
  government, Michelin Poland, Road Safety
  Partnership, Polish Spirits Association, NRSC

  community stakeholders input from GRSP and
  national road safety actors
