Lisbon Agenda
  • The central importance of innovation in the
    performance of the European economy was
    recognised since its launching in 2000
  • But the lack of ownership, commitment and
    investment in Member States and regions impaired
    its implementation
  • From 2005 onwards the Lisbon National Reform
    Plans were linked to the Cohesion Policy
    programmes for 2007-2013

ERIK-ACTION
  • 11 regions .Born from 4 years of networking
    experience within the ERIK network.
  • Aims to improve the effectiveness of regional
    development policies on innovation and the
    knowledge economy and, specifically, in upgrading
    the innovation capacity of existing enterprises.
  • Will produce an action plan for each region
    including financial data
  • These transfer actions plans will improve and can
    be financed through the Regional OPs
