Matthew 99 Mark 213-14 Luke 527-28
  •  9As Jesus went on from there, 13and all the
people were coming to Him, and He was teaching
them, He 27noticed a man called Levi the son of
Alphaeus (Matthew), sitting in the tax
collector's booth and He said to him, "Follow
Me!" 28And he left everything behind and he got
    up and followed Him.

Matthew 910-17 Mark 215-22Luke 529-39
  • 29And Levi gave a big reception for Him in
his house 10Then it happened that as Jesus was
reclining at the table in the house, behold, many
tax collectors and sinners came and were dining
with Jesus and His disciples, 15and they were
    following Him.
  • 11When 16the scribes of the Pharisees saw
that He was eating with the sinners and tax
collectors, they 30began grumbling at His
disciples and said to His disciples, "Why is your
Teacher eating and drinking with the tax
    collectors and sinners?"

Matthew 910-17 Mark 215-22Luke 529-39
  • 12But when Jesus heard this, He said, "It is
not those who are healthy who need a physician,
    but those who are sick.
  •   13"But go and learn what this means 'I DESIRE
COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not
come to call the righteous, but sinners 32to
    repentance."
  • 18John's disciples and the Pharisees were
fasting. 14Then the disciples of John came to
Him, asking, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast,
but Your disciples do not fast?"

Matthew 910-17 Mark 215-22Luke 529-39
  • 15And Jesus said to them, "The attendants of
the bridegroom cannot mourn (fast) as long as the
bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days
will come when the bridegroom is taken away from
them, and then they will fast. 19So long as they
have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
  • 36And He was also telling them a parable
"No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment
and 16puts (sews) a patch of unshrunk cloth on an
old garment for the patch pulls away from the
garment, 21the new from the old, and a worse tear
results, and the piece from the new will not
    match the old.

Matthew 910-17 Mark 215-22Luke 529-39
  •   17"Nor do people put new wine into old
wineskins otherwise the wineskins burst, and the
wine pours out, 17is lost, and the wineskins are
ruined but they put new wine into fresh
wineskins, and both are preserved." 39"And no
one, after drinking old wine wishes for new for
he says, 'The old is good enough.'"
