  • Dont be afraid. Jump in and show the
    organization what you have to offer. We all do
    things differently so go ahead and add your
    personal touch.

  • I learned so many things that I couldnt have
    learned in a classroom. Mostly I learned how
    important the work of a health educator is and
    that I absolutely love what I get to do!

  • Enjoy the process focus on the skills youre
    learning.
  • Be willing to take risks and have confidence.

  • Ask questionsespecially about the profession
    (what is a normal day like, what do you love
    about your job, etc.)
  • Go the extra miledont just do the bare minimum
    for a grade or you will miss out on the most
    important part of your schooling.

  • An internship is not about making money, but
    learning from other health educators. It is about
    learning what you like to do and gaining hands on
    experience.
