I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a

The Godly Womans Value

• The Bible teaches that there is a distinction
  between the roles of men and women in the church
  (1 Corinthians 1434-37 1
  Timothy 211-14)
• A distinction in roles does not mean a
  distinction in value - (Galatians 328 Acts
  1034 2 Peter 39)
• Women are JUST as valuable to God, and to the
  churchs growth and success, as men.

The Godly Womans Disposition
Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own
husbands, that even if some do not obey the word,
they, without a word, may be won by the conduct
of their wives, when they observe your chaste
conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your
adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair,
wearing gold, or putting on fine apparelrather
let it be the hidden person of the heart, with
the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet
spirit, which is very precious in the sight of

• Not a prohibition to wearing jewelry and makeup.
• Not this, but this-- that which is precious in
  Gods sight. Qualities that REALLY matter to Him
  and on which we should focus.

• Submissive

• Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the
  Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as
  also Christ is head of the church and He is the
  Savior of the body. (Ephesians
  522,23)

• Subjection is a role to be filled it DOES NOT
  imply inferior value in Gods sight.
• Social and political movements CANNOT change
  Gods intentions or His specified order in
  domestic roles and responsibilities.

• Holy, pure, free from carnality, and modest.
• This purity results from adherence to Gods Law.
  A woman should live her daily life as God would
  have her live it.

• Shows respect for God by respecting His Word.
• Shows respect for those who are in God-appointed
  positions over her.
• As Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose
  daughters you are if you do good and are not
  afraid with any terror. (1 Peter 36)

• Meekness, submitting to the yoke.
• True strength of charactera disposition of
  spirit in which we accept Gods dealings with us
  as good.

• It stems from trust in Gods goodness and control
  over the situation.

• Causes no disturbances to others.

• She is not required to bear children in order to
  be saved.
• Salvation comes by submitting to Gods conditions
  and roles.
• The woman shall be saved by keeping simply and
  faithfully to her allotted sphere as wife and
  mother.

Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing
if they continue in faith, love, and holiness,
with self-control. (1
Timothy 215)

• If she continues in faith The guiding principle
  in the life of a Christian.
• LoveActive good will.
• HolinessConduct befitting those separated to
  God.
• With self-control sobriety, discretionreigns
  over all passions and desires.

Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing
if they continue in faith, love, and holiness,
with self-control. (1
