3Project Overview
Wildlands Conservancy plans to create a large
scale waterproof map of the Lehigh River. This
map will aid boaters in safely navigating the
Lehigh, from Whitehaven to its confluence with
the Delaware in Easton. Eventually, the map will
show all rapids, obstructions, islands, portages,
and suggested routes along its 72 mile stretch of
river. In addition, a database of access point
descriptions will be linked to the map through
GIS software allowing informed decisions to be
made on put in and take out access points.
