ATP and Roles
  • ATP (Acceptance test process) This process
    involves series of standard agreed tests to
    establish the following with respect to the LAN
    infrastructure deployed at CBEC offices
  • Verification of BoM
  • Installation Quality Checks
  • Functionality Check of the equipment installed
  • LAN connectivity and integration with WAN, (if
    installed)

Roles
  • HP Hewlett-Packard is the Lead Service Provider
    implementing the CBEC LAN Project
  • PwC PricewaterhouseCoopers is the Project
    Manager for the project and would carry out the
    Acceptance Test process. PwC/their outsourced
    representatives from CMS would be visiting all
    sites to conduct the tests.
  • Lead Nodal Officer ( in charge of the building)
    is expected to facilitate the acceptance process
    and sign off on the Acceptance document
    immediately after completion. He would coordinate
    with other co-located CBEC offices to facilitate
    ATP on scheduled dates.

Process and Support
  • Prior information would be provided to lead Nodal
    Officer ( 3 days in advance) regarding scheduling
    of ATP. Changes in the proposed dates may be
    minimised to enable overall adherence to project
    schedule .
  • ATP would be carried out by PWC and HP
    representative in presence of Lead Nodal Officer
    or his nominee (s) ( since adherence to schedule
    is necessary).
  • The team visiting for ATP from PWC and HP would
    brief the lead nodal officer / nominee (s) about
    processes, documentation and steps.
  • Any queries or clarification by CBEC officer
    during ATP process would be answered by local PWC
    and HP teams .Other queries may be escalated
    immediately to central teams of M/s PWC/ HP.
  • ATP activities may take one day or more (
    according to the size of the location). Local
    assistance would be requested accordingly.

Process and Support contd.
  • During ATP operations of various products would
    be demonstrated and on-site training provided by
    HP.
  • IT in-charge of the building should also be part
    of the process. If possible electrical in-charge
    may also be included.
  • Lead Nodal officer needs to sign-off on the test
    results and ATP documents. Any minor observations
    may be noted at time of sign off on the ATP
    document itself.
  • A copy of ATP report would be provided to Nodal
    officer for his reference and records.

General Instructions regarding Product Testing (
Details as per ATP document)
  • Thin Client
  • Check for Physical damage, if any and record .
  • Switch ON the thin client
  • Enter User Name and Password provided by HP
    Personnel
  • Check for application access e.g. ACES.
  • Printing through Network laser/line Printer
    and/or directly connected printer (deskjet)
  • Check for physical damage, if any and record
  • Switch ON the Printer
  • Create a test page in Open office installed in
    Thin Client
  • Fire a Print out on the Printer configured

  • Scanner
  • Check for Physical damage, if any and record
  • Switch ON the Scanner
  • Take any document scan and save the document
  • Open the document to verify if the scanning was
    performed properly
  • Print Server
  • Check for physical damage if any and record.
  • Switch on the server
  • Check general functionality
  • Simultaneously Fire Printouts from more than one
    Thin Client to test the functionality of Print
    Queue.

  • Power Equipment
  • Different sets of acceptance process has been
    formulated for sites
  • With DG and UPS
  • With UPS only
  • The appropriate test process is to be chosen and
    conducted.
  • The test process is designed to establish the
    following
  • Out put voltage of DG and UPS at various stages.
  • UPS Battery backup time of 15 minutes.
  • Un-interrupted power supply change over.
  • Auto start/shut down of DG in case of power
    failure.
  • Manual start/shut down of DG.
