How to make it even more worthwhile

• Build attending the symposium into a longer trip
  to Mexico, the Americas generally.
• Think of other ways to extend/fund your trip
  (sponsorship for example), begging from your rich
  tax-exiled Aunt Matilda

So, what happens next?

• We are running a competition to select who will
  go
• You need to write a statement, maximum 800 words
  stating why you should go to the Symposium
• You need to convince us that you will really
  benefit from the experience in ways beyond the
  obvious
• You need to show your commitment
• You may need to send a deposit to secure your
  participation in the selection process. This will
  be returned if you are not successful.

• Why are you interested?
• How will you personally benefit from attending?
• What can you bring to the symposium which will
  help it to be a success?
• How does the Symposium and a visit to Mexico
  fit with your interests and intentions?
• How will you prepare for the Symposium?
